DSCrawl v1.0 BETA2 by Sasq
Liney's Dungeon Crawl is a rogue-like (similar to Nethack, Angband, etc),
and one of the most actively maintained.
It has close to 400 monster types and over 200 spells.
It is not just a straight port, sasq has put some effort into formatting the play area into windows fitting the DS layout, in order to make the game enjoyable using the buttons available on the NDS.
It is playable from almost any DS homebrew device, though if you only have a plain GBA flashcart, you may not be able to get to some of the later levels (due to the small amout of storage space)
